DR. DARLA L. WISLER
OUR HISTORY
Dr. Darla L. Wisler was called and anointed of God with an apostolic and prophetic mantle. She earned her A.B.S., Th.B., M.Div., and D.Min. degrees through Christian International School of Theology. Having served the Anderson area in full-time ministry since 1978, she became the founder of Living Water Church. She served as the Senior Paster of the Church, Dean of Living Water Bible College, and was actively involved in the community working on boards of various organizations. Dr. Wisler was a pioneer for women's ministry and present truth teaching. She ministered internationally and wrote two books that were taught in churches throughout the country.
GOD'S HAND OF MINISTRY
"Therefore humble yourselves under the ministry hand of God..." (1 Pet. 5:6)
Living Water Church operates as a Five Fold Ministry. When Christ ascended, He took His whole ministry mantle, divided it, and gave it in five parts to men and women. All five are needed to perfect, mature, and equip the saints “till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of…the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:13). The function of these gifts, also sometimes called equipping or ascension gifts, and how they fit together, can better be understood through the analogy of how a physical hand functions.
